The restaurant and bar are beautifully designed, with luxury in mind. The space is complete with velvet booths, a gold metallic ceiling and suspended globe lights that make the perfect setting for a romantic meal for two or a weekend brunch with friends. The tiled floor and a gold patterned feature wall pay homage to the development’s Roman history – even the pattern of the ancient mosaic that was excavated just metres below the restaurant floor is referenced in the design and restaurant logo. Exposed ceilings and concrete columns are a nod to the industrial history of Leicester and a bespoke feature wall made with brushed leather pays homage to the city’s shoe making industry.

Modern British food with an International Twist

Nine B’s kitchen will be run by head chef Stewart Westwater, who has over 40 years’ experience under his belt. Following 13 years in top London restaurants, Westwater has lived in the area for 18 years. Stewart has been working on the menu for months and has been working hard to ensure every dish is made with exceptionally high quality ingredients to guarantee the best flavours. He’s been in search of the best cheese, the best pies and the best charcuterie across the land. And if they’re from Leicestershire, even better!

Stewart said: “A lot of care and attention has gone into creating Nine B’s menu and we hope to entice guests from all over the country with our exciting new dishes. It’s incredibly important for us to cater to a variety of different tastes and dietary needs. Our vegan menu will offer something a little different, too. The vegan Cajun cauliflower dish, which is marinated for 24 hours, is something quite new and we’re excited to see what people think of it!”

Open for All-day Dining

The restaurant will be open from 12pm – 10pm seven days a week and will also provide room service food for adjoining hotel Novotel Leicester. Nine B will be Leicester’s newest destination restaurant, offering all-day dining, snacks, coffee, cocktails and craft beer all under one roof.

A beautifully designed private dining room, separated from the restaurant with a gold metallic curtain, can seat up to 18 guests and can be divided into smaller tables.

Leicester City Centre

The restaurant sits between the Novotel hotel and long-stay apartments Adagio Leicester on the Great Central Square development in the city centre. It is ideal rest bite for the city’s shoppers, just a stone’s throw away from Highcross and independent retail destinations St Martin’s Square, The Lanes and the famous Leicester Market.
